Sugar Creek Hollow Blog Hop...The Colors of Joy

I am so excited to be able to share this card with you today!!! The Sugar Creek Hollow Design Team and I have been working hard behind the scene creating cards to share with you for the Grand Opening. We couldn't resist holding back!! We want to share with you just a preview of what is to come.

The card I'm sharing with you uses the wonderful spring bonnet and a coordinating sentiment. After printing my image on the same ivory cardstock as my card base, I colored the image with Prisma pencils & OMS that coordinated with my patterned paper. To give the card a little more interest, I added some ribbon the same color as the ribbon in the image, threaded it through a chipboard button and tied a bow.

For the inside, I kept it very simple: I matted the sentiment on more of the patterned paper from the outside of the card, leaving room for a personal note.

supplies ~ cardstock: The Paper Company, dsp: Cosmo Cricket Early Bird, ribbon: Pebbles, chipboard button: Colorbok, image & sentiment: Sugar Creek Hollow

I love this card! It's so country! Looks like something I would find in the County Living Magazine.

Hey, this is an Easter bonnet in my mind, from a simpler time! I think I was meant to be born in that time, love your card!

So pretty, and I love how you matched up the ribbon and flower on the bonnet with the ones on the card!
