FWF is Joyful

Hello, again! It's Friday, and that means it's a Friends with Flair blog hop!

This week I'm sharing a card that I think will be this year's Christmas card. It's easy to make assembly-line style, and I love how graphic it is with the pop of red against an all-white background.

supplies ~ stamps: {ippity} Season of Joy; cardstock: Martha Stewart & HP; embossing folder: Cuttlebug Swiss Dots; embossing powder: Hampton Art a la mode

I embossed the sentiment and frame before die cutting, then adhered everything together. Simple!

Remember to leave comments all along the hop - a lucky commenter will win blog candy from Unity! Happy hopping!

{ippity} Thanks(giving) Blog Hop

Welcome to the thanks(giving) blog hop with a few {ippity} chicks!!  Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday! It usually marks the beginning of the holiday season, but Thanksgiving is when I give thanks and give back for all that I'm thankful for. So this blog hop is centered around giving thanks and thanksgiving!

Pull up a chair, grab your favorite beverage, and hop through the blogs!

I decided to use Thanks for all Things on my card today. It's a cute little set that can be used in so many ways! I saw a really cool technique by Betsy Veldman (stamper extraordinaire!) that mimics batik fabrics. I knew I just had to try it on this card. A little raffia, which always reminds me of the straw bales I sat on during fall hayrides and bonfires, takes the place of ribbon.

stamps: {ippity} kit Thanks for all Things; kraft cardstock: Bazzill; watercolor paper: Impressions; ink: Ranger Distress Inks in Faded Jeans, Dusty Concord, Spiced Marmalade, Black Soot; clear ep; raffia

How would you like to win some {ippity}? How about this set, Thanks for all Things?

Remember to leave a comment (winner will be picked on 11/25!).  Some of the other chicks are also giving away blog candy, so comment away!!  Happy hopping!!!

Fabulous Friday Fun, Warm Wishes & a blog hop tomorrow

Brrrrr! It's cold out! Here in Alaska, we're having a proper cold snap with temps at night dipping to almost -40, and the highs during the day up to a balmy -15! I sure am glad to be in my snuggy craft room on a night like this!

I finally got around to playing with the Warm Wishes {ippity} set released earlier this month. What a fun set! I decided to do some embossing, and I really like how my card came out.

stamps: {ippity} set Warm Wishes; cardstock: Bazzill; dsp: DCWV; embossing powder: Zing!; gem: stash

I tried a medallion after reading this post at Moxie Fab World. One tip I didn't see on any of the tutorials I dug up to make this:

make sure your strip of paper is at least 8 times longer than it is wide

My first medallion wouldn't join at the ends because I didn't know that. So avoid the headache and lost paper/time/sanity/whatever and measure first. You'll be glad you did.  =)

I also entered this card in the CPS challenge for this week.

Oh, and remember that there's an {ippity} blog hop tomorrow! Come hop, comment and get a chance to win an {ippity} set! It will run through Thanksgiving, so join us - it'll be fun!

Thanks for stopping by!

It's all fun until...

Hello, again! I'm back with a card using one of the newest {ippity} sets, Pain and Pride.

This poor little guy is obviously NOT in a happy mood, but I can identify with him. One year for my birthday, my little brother took me to Mt. Hood for a snowboarding lesson. I never did learn to snowboard since I spent nearly all of my 3 hours on my fanny. Center of gravity, where are you? I think it is permanently out to lunch!!

supplies: cardstock: Bazzil, dsp: DCWV, stamps: {ippity} Pain and Pride, pop dots: Plaid

I did this card for 365 Cards' challenge #250Have a safe day out there!
