FWF is Joyful

Hello, again! It's Friday, and that means it's a Friends with Flair blog hop!

This week I'm sharing a card that I think will be this year's Christmas card. It's easy to make assembly-line style, and I love how graphic it is with the pop of red against an all-white background.

supplies ~ stamps: {ippity} Season of Joy; cardstock: Martha Stewart & HP; embossing folder: Cuttlebug Swiss Dots; embossing powder: Hampton Art a la mode

I embossed the sentiment and frame before die cutting, then adhered everything together. Simple!

Remember to leave comments all along the hop - a lucky commenter will win blog candy from Unity! Happy hopping!

{ippity} Thanks(giving) Blog Hop

Welcome to the thanks(giving) blog hop with a few {ippity} chicks!!  Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday! It usually marks the beginning of the holiday season, but Thanksgiving is when I give thanks and give back for all that I'm thankful for. So this blog hop is centered around giving thanks and thanksgiving!

Pull up a chair, grab your favorite beverage, and hop through the blogs!

I decided to use Thanks for all Things on my card today. It's a cute little set that can be used in so many ways! I saw a really cool technique by Betsy Veldman (stamper extraordinaire!) that mimics batik fabrics. I knew I just had to try it on this card. A little raffia, which always reminds me of the straw bales I sat on during fall hayrides and bonfires, takes the place of ribbon.

stamps: {ippity} kit Thanks for all Things; kraft cardstock: Bazzill; watercolor paper: Impressions; ink: Ranger Distress Inks in Faded Jeans, Dusty Concord, Spiced Marmalade, Black Soot; clear ep; raffia

How would you like to win some {ippity}? How about this set, Thanks for all Things?

Remember to leave a comment (winner will be picked on 11/25!).  Some of the other chicks are also giving away blog candy, so comment away!!  Happy hopping!!!

Fabulous Friday Fun, Warm Wishes & a blog hop tomorrow

Brrrrr! It's cold out! Here in Alaska, we're having a proper cold snap with temps at night dipping to almost -40, and the highs during the day up to a balmy -15! I sure am glad to be in my snuggy craft room on a night like this!

I finally got around to playing with the Warm Wishes {ippity} set released earlier this month. What a fun set! I decided to do some embossing, and I really like how my card came out.

stamps: {ippity} set Warm Wishes; cardstock: Bazzill; dsp: DCWV; embossing powder: Zing!; gem: stash

I tried a medallion after reading this post at Moxie Fab World. One tip I didn't see on any of the tutorials I dug up to make this:

make sure your strip of paper is at least 8 times longer than it is wide

My first medallion wouldn't join at the ends because I didn't know that. So avoid the headache and lost paper/time/sanity/whatever and measure first. You'll be glad you did.  =)

I also entered this card in the CPS challenge for this week.

Oh, and remember that there's an {ippity} blog hop tomorrow! Come hop, comment and get a chance to win an {ippity} set! It will run through Thanksgiving, so join us - it'll be fun!

Thanks for stopping by!

It's all fun until...

Hello, again! I'm back with a card using one of the newest {ippity} sets, Pain and Pride.

This poor little guy is obviously NOT in a happy mood, but I can identify with him. One year for my birthday, my little brother took me to Mt. Hood for a snowboarding lesson. I never did learn to snowboard since I spent nearly all of my 3 hours on my fanny. Center of gravity, where are you? I think it is permanently out to lunch!!

supplies: cardstock: Bazzil, dsp: DCWV, stamps: {ippity} Pain and Pride, pop dots: Plaid

I did this card for 365 Cards' challenge #250Have a safe day out there!

Sunday, June 5

Hip {ippity} hooray - new releases are out!

The big day has finally arrived - the June releases are OUT! Order your TODAY by emailing me what you'd like and your PayPal account name. I'll send an invoice for your order!

Another big announcement is that the {ippity} blog has re-opened and has all-new challenges every two weeks and YOU could win some FREE {ippity} goodness! You have to go check it out!

Here's my entry for this first challenge. I had some photos of my husband's nieces I wanted to frame, but not all of the frames matched the picture sized, so I created some larger panels using my {ippity} stamps, the smaller photos and some patterned paper. Hubby really likes it, and it now graces a space on our living room wall. You can click the pics to get a better view, if you like.

There were two "too small" photos I wanted to frame and an empty space. I kept it pretty simple and just added sentiments with the photos, and created a card-like panel with just a sentiment to serve as something like a title on a scrapbook page. I'm no scrapbooker (but I try!), but I'm happy with the results!  =D

So, what are you waiting for? Go create and enter the challenge - maybe you'll the the one to WIN!

{ippity} For a Cause

Hello again, friends! I think my {ippity} page is updated and ready for orders, and I'm already taking pre-orders for the June 5 release of stamps. Just email me the sets/stamps you want. You can see all of the sets and prices here. Remember that every order includes a special gift as a thank you!

I also want to let you know that from now until June 7, all proceeds from my {ippity} sales will go to my friends Ken and Chelsey Mach. They are in the process of adopting twins, who are due around June 7, and they need a bit of help raising money for their expenses. You can read about their whole story at their adoption blog, Our Adoption Story - To Alaska With Love! They had originally intended to adopt from Ethiopia, but that country pretty much shut down their adoption cases and the Mach's lost all the money they had already paid to their adoption agency. Would you consider helping them bring their twins home with a purchase of {ippity} stamps? Email me!

My, oh my! How time flies!

I cannot believe it has been so long since my last post! If you haven't been following our adoption progress, you can get caught up at my adoption blog, Growing By Heart. But to state it simply, we are nearly done with paperwork, so sometime in July we should be on the waitlist for a baby - so exciting!

So, now that we're nearly done with that and school is out for the summer, I have much more free time on my hands and will begin posting more regularly again. AND, I'll be more active with {ippity} stamps by Unity. See?

I am so excited I can hardly wait!

In just about a week or so, I'll be ready to get back into the swing of things with {ippity}, but if you'd like to order anything NOW, just email me and I'd be happy to place an order for you! If you're interested in any of the older sets, I have many of them in stock right now - check it out on my {ippity} page.

See you soon!
