Tomorrow is another Doodle Dragon release, so I have a peek for you! I'll show you the entire card tomorrow. I'll give you a hint, though: you better bring your flippers...hehehe! And remember to stop by Dustin's blog to download your freebie. You won't want to miss it - he's giving you a whole SET of images today!

High Hopes challenge 34: a sketch

I really love High Hopes stamps, but I've only had the time to participate in a couple of their challenges in the past. Now that summer is here, I have lots more time to play in my stamp room and enter challenges. The image on this card, Little Missy, was one I received in a swap over at SCS. Since money is always a consideration when it comes to stamping supplies, I really like swaps.

The sketch for this week's challenge was a pretty simple one. Although I really like quick cards with minimal layers, I have to confess that the cards I love most are the ones with more layers. I also decided to decorate the inside of this card. I colored the image with Prismas & OMS.

I am working on images for the Doodle Dragon release on Thursday and the freebie image for tomorrow, so I may be back later today with peeks for those.

Thanks for stopping by today!

Whimsy Challenge: A Sketch!

Welcome to another Whimsy challenge! Did you see the great news on the Whimsy Stamps Challenge Blog? Now, not only can you use any image in many of the challenges, but we are now doing WEEKLY challenges - double the fun!

This week, we have a sketch to use for inspiration. This is the first time Whimsy has had a sketch challenge, but I'm hoping that there will be many more...I love sketches!

I inked up my duck stamp for the first time for this challenge. I like to have a different take on images sometimes, and this was no exception. I decided that I really wanted to do a mallard duck for this challenge. After coloring him in with Prismas & OMS, I used scraps from my scrap tray to mat the image and added a couple of coordinating pieces of dsp on the green cardstock. I mounted the image on pop dots to add some dimension.

How time flies!

Hello, bloggers! I have to tell you that I cannot believe how fast time passes. It seems like such a short time ago that I started this little 'ole blog, and sometime in the last 24 hours my visitor count clicked past 5000! So, I guess I have a lot to celebrate: my 5000th visitor, summer's arrival in Alaska, I'm finally getting over this crud that's made me sick for so long, and school has ended (although it was officially over May 21, I was in classes the last 2 weeks....so I have only now begun summer break)!

In honor of all these wonderful events, I'm having a blog candy! I'll come back soon and edit this post with a photo and list of the candy I'm offering. For now, use your imagination! ETA: Pic is up!

To win this candy, all you need to do is leave a comment - easy peasy! If you'd like to link my candy on your blog or follow me, that's wonderful and appreciated, but not required. This candy will close at midnight AKDT on Saturday, June 20th. ETA: I will ship worldwide, so international entries are welcome! I'll use Random.org to pick a winner on Saturday afternoon sometime and post the results. Good luck!

MIA, but on the mend

Thank you to everyone who wished me well and prayed for me during my illness. The doctor put me on some antibiotics a few days ago, and I'm finally beginning to feel like myself again. I'm hoping that tonight I will have enough energy to make a card rather than collapse on the couch as the last few weeks. So, hopefully, I'll have a picture for you tonight or tomorrow!

Remember that Dustin has a release of new images today. Get the deets on his blog, or go to his website to get the new images for yourself.

One last reminder: only a few days are left for the Whimsy challenge - remember that you do NOT have to have a Whimsy image to play!
