Sisterhood of the Blogging Stampers #27

Well, I'm now a groupie. No, not for a rock star, for Sisterhood of the Blogging Stampers! So this post is short and sweet with some gettin' to know ya stuff. So I'll just give you 5 random facts about me and 5 more about my papercrafting!

  1. I moved to Fairbanks, Alaska, in 2001 with my husband when he came to work for the University of Alaska Fairbanks. I teach middle school social studies at our local school district.
  2. I love to try new recipes.
  3. In addition to papercrafts, I like to cross-stitch, knit, quilt and sew.
  4. I'm an avid reader, but I usually only have time for books during school breaks. When school is in session, I usually stick to newpapers, magazine, etc., that I can finish in a short time.

  1. My favorite ways to color right now are watercolor and PrismaColor pencils with OMS.
  2. I have a hard time turning down freebies! One of my favorite places is download free digital papers & bellies Summertime Designs.
  3. I have only recently started stamping again. I'm on the prowl now for more outline image stamps (like Penny Black, High Hopes, Whipper Snapper, etc) to build my collection.
  4. I have found some smokin' hot deals on eBay for all sorts of papercrafting stuff. I really need to cut myself off, though - I think I've formed an addiction!
  5. For stamp shopping, I avoid Joann's & Michael's. They've got lots of other great stuff, but I HATE the selection they have in stamps! I usually walk away with a sigh.
Group #27 is nearly full, so if you'd like to join you should hurry. If you miss this group, you can join the next one; Tracy usually opens the next one when she closes a group. Thanks for stopping by today!

Hi Cheri, welcome to SBS#27. How funny, I was reading your post and just had to tell you that even though I'm in the Northern Territory in Australia, my husband was in Fairbanks Alaska last year (April) for work. How weird is that!

Well, now you probably think I'm all crazy sharing that, but I just thought it was funny being that were both quite remote in our locations, but I kinda feel like you live just around the corner.

Five facts about me..

1. I teach middle school computer studies, and work on all technology.

2. I have been married for 15 years and have a 12 year old son that attends the same school I teach at. Was not sure how that would work, but I love it.

3. I did not grow up with pets, but since we bought our house, we added pets to the family. I do not know what I would do without the pets in the house. We have one dog names Sara Jane, she is an escape artist, and eats anything. then there is Sassy she is a cat but has an identity issue, she thinks she is a dog. Eats the dog food, etc..

4. I coach a robotics club

5. even though I am techie I can not program a VCR.

Craft Facts

1. I recently like two weeks ago signed up as a new Angel demonstrator.

2. Love all crafts

3. New to the blogging world, but love it

4. recently started stamping and making cards, previously I scrapbooked.

5. I also love coloring in images and use mostly colored pencils.

Welcome to group 27.
