Blog candy is in the HOUSE!

I'm so sorry I haven't posted for so long. We've been having some computer issues recently, and I haven't had reliable computer access to post. I have a card to share, and

BLOG CANDY IS OPEN TODAY!!!!

So in case you missed the first post, I'm celebrating over 2000 hits, my birthday on the 20th, and longer days (Northern Alaska, here...we're finally coming out of the (literal) "Dark Ages"). =D First, a card.

I made this one from a SheetLoad acetate card that was part of the Ultimate Sampler pack I recently won in a blog candy at Moralia's Weblog. I was using a CPS sketch (but computer problems kept me from entering it in the challenge), some DCWV papers and Paper Temptress cardstock. The solid pink with the lacy border is called "Glimmer" and it's soooo pretty. The camera didn't capture the beauty of this cardstock. (ssshhh: you can get 1/4 sheet samples - up to six - of her paper here. Go get your samples today - just don't drool on me when you see her gorgeous stuff, ok?!?!) =D

The heart on the front and the panel of red inside the card are actually the same cardstock, but the angle of the card makes the cardstock look like a different shade. This card was rather simple, but I like the effect that clear cards give to the final product. I used my Nesties for the scalloped oval and a Martha Steward border punch.

supplies ~ acetate card: SheetLoad, cardstock: Paper Temptress, dsp: DCWV

OK, so I suppose you want to know about the blog candy, right?!?! Here's a pic:

And a list of what's here ~
Basic Grey 6x6 pad (Sultry)
2 Cuttlebug embossing folders (Birds and Swirls, Bloom Dots)
Recollections flowers w/brad centers
Recollections gemstone brads
Making Memories jumbo blossoms w/brads
2 reels of ribbon
...and a surprise! ooooo, only I know what it is - heehee!

What to do to win? Just leave me a comment saying what you are most looking forward to doing this spring. If you'd like to post a link in your blog advertising my candy, that would be great, but it's not required. This candy will close on March 1 @ 11:59 pm AKDT (-900 GMT), and the winner chosen by Random.org will be announced on March 2. One entry per person, please. I will ship worldwide. Good luck to you all!

Hi Cheri, here's my link . It may sound weird but I'm really looking forward to some early morning walks. They are part of my birdwatching course and when the birds start singing this spring we're having some walks at 5AM to hear them. I've never done this before and I'm really curious how many I will recognize. (Not so many I'm afraid). Thanks for a chance to win! Greetings from Belgium, Annelies
