Welcome to another edition of H{ippity} Hop! Today I'm sharing a card that was a lot of fun...maybe your could say it was SEW fun! =D No, I didn't do any real sewing (still have to unearth my sewing machine for that)! But I did manage to fake it with the help of a tracing wheel.
Ever since I got this kit, I've been wanting to do a quilt-themed card with the heart stamp, so tonight I finally did it. I found some yummy DCWV paper that had the deep, rich country colors I was aiming to capture, then matched my colored pencils to that. Since I also wanted my "quilt" to look aged, I distressed the edges of each heart block, the layers of paper and the card itself. For the heart blocks and card edges, I used Antique Linen Distress ink; for the dsp and stamping on the card I used Vintage Photo.
