Tracy, the owner of Sugar Creek Hollow, recently posted a freebie image on the Sugar Creek Hollow blog. The image was drawn by her 8 year old niece, and what a nice job she did! I decided to make a few cards featuring him.
I saw a card on Anna Wight's blog a couple of months back, and bookmarked it to go back and CASE later. I loved the super simple layout and the simple embellishment, and the colors are definitely country-inspired!
I found some dsp in my stash that was similar to Anna's, and I substituted the ribbon and buttons with what I had on hand since all my brown buttons just didn't look right. I used my aqua pen to pick up ink from an acrylic block to give the image a touch of color. I just pressed the ink pad directly on the block and used that as my palette. I used Memories Chestnut, Memento Tuxedo Black and Memento Tangelo.
supplies ~ cardstock: SU! Chocolate Chip, dsp: DCWV Holiday Collection - The Christmas Stack, ribbon: Michael's, button & jute: stash
