I'm sure you all understand that crafting funds are limited. No? You have deep pockets and can afford to get ALL the eye candy you care to have? Well, I'm not so fortunate; I have to watch my pennies! ;)
In reality, I'm sure you all know exactly what I'm talking about. I love Papertrey Ink stamps, papers and embellishments, but my crafty mad money has run dry. Lucky for me, I have plenty of rubber I haven't inked up yet, so I feel sorta like I got something new whenever I play with one of those sets.
But that doesn't stop me from longing over the gorgeous PTI products that are released every single month. It doesn't quell my wishing that I could go buy the entire bundle package. That certainly doesn't get in the way of my "shopping" where I fill my shopping cart with all that yumminess only to abandon it when I see the number of bucks I'll have to kiss goodbye. So, I enter every comment contest I can *hoping* I'll be a lucky winner of some brand-spankin'-new PTI. But card contests are out since they all require PTI product to enter.
Until now.
There's a new gang of stamp designers over at PTI, and they all designed something digital, FREE, for PTI fans to download and use in a project to WIN some PTI. So you betcha I jumped on THAT bandwagon!
I don't get to play all day in my stamp room, so I had to be choosy. Which one will I play with first ('cuz I'm a slowpoke and the first will most likely be the last)? I really couldn't resist this cute little house with the balloon hanging onto the chimney. It makes me smile every time I see it. So here's my card.
I masked everything to sponge the sky (more on that in my post tomorrow), then colored in the house, balloon and sun with my ZIG ColorTwin markers. I paper-pieced the grass, popped a button on the sun, and added a little Stardust penwork on the clouds, heart on the balloon, chimney and doorknob. To finish it all off, I used a Studio G set to stamp the sentiment.
